We want to apologize for taking so long to get the 2008 entries up, but we have finally gotten over the pain of our contest idea being stolen and decided that it's worth keeping it around just for fun. The judging is for fun as well, but you can go to youtube and check out and rate/comment on the videos. The ones with the most views, comments, and best ratings are the winners. We don't really have anything to offer at this point in the way of prizes, but bragging rights will be in order and there may be a chance for a cameo at an upcoming premier. Were the prizes ever the driving force anyway? I mean, do you think those dudes with the face makeup and baseball bats in the warrior movie were trying to win a prize for best costume?

1. Send the finished video (NO LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES) on Mini DV tape or Full resolution Quicktime movie (720 x 480) burned as data on a dvd (NOT A PLAYABLE DVD)
2. Send all the raw footage as well in either format specified above
3. If you have any crew photos or logos, graphics, etc. Please send them separately on dvd (contact me if you are unsure of the format to send)

DO NOT FILM WITHOUT THE DATE SET. If your camera is not on this date, the footage will not be valid.
Also, the video can be 5 minutes MAX. any videos longer than 5 minutes will have to be cut down.

Sorry we had a tough time getting the results here, But they are finally here! And can be found below. Thanks to SLAP, The Skateboard Mag, and Transworld for taking on the noble honor of judging the 2007 videos. Thanks also to everyone who entered this year's contest. We hope to have all of you and more in the mix on June 8th when we kick off this years Battle. Crew Up!

Our Sponsors haven't shown us the support we would have hoped, so we haven't had any results for the 2007 contest. We are working and will have a result up by two weeks from today however. One thing we do have though, is the dates for This Year's Crew Battle!!! The official dates are June 8th through the 21st.

Comments have been disabled on the website, because they are not accomplishing anything. Also, to re-iterate, the poll is just for fun, it's not going to effect the outcome of the judging. So you can stop going to the library/Apple store and voting for your crew on every computer.

Happy Haloween everybody! We're still waiting on the results, but we got a new video up. If you're wondering where a couple of the videos are at, it's because we had a little "song ABD" going on. That's why it's a good idea to let us know what you're using. You hurt yourselves, and others. We should have a solution here soon though.

Last nights premier was a big success. Thanks to the guys over at Satellite board shop for showing their video "Ride With Us" along side. And thanks to all you who submited your parts, they were all awesome.
Way of the Warriors 2006 copies
on sale now.
The Way of the Warriors contest was inspired by the days where you and your homies would skate everywhere and do everything together. The days when the spots you skated were spontaneous, and the tricks were thought up moments before you tried them.
The idea is for you to have that same experience with your friends, but this time you get to document it and show others how much fun you and your crew can have in the span of two weeks. You have 14 days to spend with your friends (including your friends with the video camera and mad editing skillz) to skate together and tear the city apart. At the end of the contest you will submit a completed video segment that represents you and your crew by showcasing your epic talents on and off a skateboard.
After all of the videos are received, they will be judged by a highly respected and fair panel of critics (much like the guys from the future in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) The most entertaining and well put together videos will be premiered in Denver, CO and will also be included in the Way of the Warriors DVD. There will be awards in a variety of categories including "best filmer", "best editing", "best trick", and the ever sought after "best video."
Not only is this a chance to get out there and re-live the glory days, it's also a calling card for skateboarders, filmers, and editors. This is your chance to show the world that you really do have personality behind all that mind blowing skateboard talent.
